Moving ROSC Forward

Event Description

Over the past three years, Ohio’s local Boards have been committed to transforming local behavioral health systems of care based on a vision of care that is directed by people in recovery, emphasizing the reality of long-term recovery and recognized the many pathways to healing for people with substance use or mental health challenges called the Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC).  Local ROSC work has provided a framework for infusing the entire health and social service system with recovery-related beliefs, values, and approaches and have seen improvements in outcomes and funding designation.

The Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities (OACBHA) would like to invite you to the “Moving ROSC Forward” Summit as it looks at the impact that ROSC has on individuals and families, providers, the criminal justice system, peer support, the labor force, and communities.  Whether you are just learning about Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care or have been heavily involved in your local community to incorporate ROSC principles into your work, this FREE training will be a valuable day of practical learning and education.  You will be learning from nationally-renowned experts, individuals in recovery, as well as from local Board Directors and partners who are working to create a system based upon recovery.  We encourage you to bring local Board members, providers, peer supporters, stakeholders and others who are working on or want to learn more about implementing ROSC in the community.
